The Institute of Environmental Engineering at Mehran University hosted an insightful one-day seminar on Monday, December 8th on the crucial topic of “Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Environment.”
The event took place at the USPCAS-W Auditorium.
The Institute’s Director, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sahito, welcomed and expressed his honour in hosting researchers from the University of Trento, Italy: Dr. Erik Nielsen and Dr. Mir Hassan.
Dr. Erik Nielsen discussed the reliability and potential of AI, emphasizing that it offers excellent solutions to problems, while noting the need for caution in fields like medical decision-making.
Dr. Mir Hassan shared his insights on the intersection of environmental issues, AI, and sustainable development.
The event saw great participation from MUET students and faculty and was organized in collaboration with the Mehran University Society of Environmental Engineers and the Office of the Advisor Students Affairs.
