Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur, proudly announces the successful operationalization of its Water Supply Project โ€” a remarkable achievement that brings water from the Nara Canal through a challenging 3 km mountainous route, after fulfilling all technical and procedural formalities.
This milestone marks a new era of sustainability and self-sufficiency for the University. Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor, visited the project site to review the system before releasing the first drop of water. He appreciated the dedication of whole team and project partners for reviving and completing a project that had remained pending for nearly 9 years โ€” truly breathing life into a long-delayed dream.
Since its establishment in 2013 as the Sindh College of Art & Design under Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, the University had relied on water tankers due to its mountainous and drought-prone terrain. Today, under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, that dream of a reliable, affordable, and sustainable water source has become a reality โ€” significantly reducing operational costs and securing an essential resource for generations to come.
It’s reality that water is life โ€” and the abundance of a sustainable water source is true prosperity.
