Cold Weather to Persist Nationwide; Light Rain and Snow Expected in Northern Regions

Cold weather is expected to prevail across most parts of the country on Friday, with skies remaining partly cloudy to cloudy. Mountainous regions are likely to experience very cold conditions during the night. Light rain and snowfall over high mountains are expected at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, and Battagram. Smog is likely to affect plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while fog may form at a few places during nighttime.

On Saturday, cold and partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected to continue over most parts of the country. Mountainous regions may experience severe cold during morning and night hours. Smog will persist in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with chances of fog during early morning and nighttime.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected on both Friday and Saturday.
