Jamshoro, Pakistan – A thought-provoking meeting was held at the Vice Chancellor’s office of Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro (SABS) University, Jamshoro, between VC Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto and Editor of www.jeeveypakistan.com Mr. Salik Majeed. The meeting aimed to discuss various aspects of higher education, challenges faced by students, university management, faculty, and resources, as well as future plans and vision.

The discussion revolved around the importance of creating a positive and supportive environment in educational institutions, and how to overcome obstacles that hinder progress. Both leaders shared their experiences and exchanged ideas on how to promote a culture of positivity and hope among the youth. They emphasized the need to ignore negative elements and focus on original work and goals, rather than getting distracted by fake news, non-serious litigation, and baseless propaganda.

VC Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto highlighted the university’s initiatives and achievements, thanking Mr. Salik Majeed and the Jeevey Pakistan team for their visit and valuable input. Mr. Majeed appreciated the university’s vision and work, stating that the half glass is not empty, but half full, and there is always room for improvement. He emphasized the importance of promoting positivity and hope among the youth, and encouraging them to strive for excellence.

The meeting was attended by Secretary General of Commerce Professors from Karachi, Prof. Mohammad Farhan Qazi, young digital content creator Mr. Sabih Salik, and Media Relations Guru of the university, Mr. Abdul Latif Gaad.

The visitors also attended the ongoing thesis expo, where students showcased their projects and themes.

The meeting was a significant step towards fostering a collaborative spirit and promoting a positive approach to education. Both leaders appreciated each other’s efforts and committed to working together to create a better future for the youth of Pakistan.

The Degree Show was formally inaugurated by Commissioner Hyderabad, Fayaz Hussain Abbasi and four Vice-Chancellors, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, VC SABS University Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali, VC Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri, VC University of Sindh Jamshoro and Prof. Dr. Ikram Ud Din Ujan, VC Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro.
During the inauguration, the Commissioner Hyderabad and Vice-Chancellors appreciated the creative expression, innovation, and technical skill reflected in the studentsโ€™ work, highlighting the importance of art and design education in shaping cultural and creative industries.

SABS UNIVERSITY JAMSHORO SYNDICATE CONVENES 6TH MEETING TO REVIEW KEY ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
Jamshoro (November 21, 2025) The 6th meeting of the Syndicate of Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro was held at Syndicate Hall, where major academic, administrative, and policy decisions were discussed and approved.
The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor SABS University Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto and attended by members including Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad nominee, Sulaiman Ahmed, Additional Secretary Universities & Boards Department, Government of Sindh, Zainul Abideen, Sindh HEC nominee Nadira Panjwani, Persons of Eminence Marvi Mazhar, Sameera Raja, Faryal Sikandar, Acting Registrar Muhammad Suleman Bhutto, Director Finance Imran Noor, elected members Fazal Ellahi Khan, Uzma Arisar, Chander Kumar, and QEC Observer Fahad Shams Nizamani.
During the meeting, the Syndicate reviewed and confirmed the minutes of its 5th meeting held on May 29, 2025, and assessed the actions taken on earlier decisions. The body also deliberated and approved matters undertaken by the Vice-Chancellor since the previous Syndicate Meeting.
One of the major agenda points included the approval of recommendations presented by the 2nd Selection Board of the University, held on October 1, 2025. Additionally, the Syndicate discussed nominations for representation on the Universityโ€™s Selection Board, Finance & Planning Committee, and Disciplinary Committee.
The resignation of Fahad Ali Khaskheli, Sub Engineer (BPS-16), effective from October 1, 2024, was also taken up for consideration and decision.
The Syndicate further reviewed and approved the list of first ever successful batch of graduates of SABS University of the Academic Year 2020 and Calendar Year 2024 from the Faculty of Visual Arts & Architecture, including merit positions and medal recipients.
Another key item was the authorization to engage legal counsel on a case-to-case basis to support the University in legal matters as needed.
The meeting concluded with several important resolutions aimed at strengthening academic governance, administrative efficiency, and institutional planning at SABS University, Jamshoro.
