Honouring the heroes behind Karachi’s progress against polio. 💪

Polio workers in District Central will now receive transport and lunch support during campaigns, an important initiative led by Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem, in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Society, the Dawoodi Bohra Community, and the five town administrations.
At a ceremony held at the DC office, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi and Additional Commissioner-I Ghulam Mehdi Shah joined representatives from partner organisations to acknowledge and appreciate the frontline teams driving Karachi’s progress.
Commissioner Naqvi praised polio workers as “our heroes”, crediting their dedication for six months with zero polio cases in Karachi. He encouraged all stakeholders to expand similar support for frontline teams across the city.
With continued collaboration, commitment, and community support, Karachi is moving closer to a #PolioFreeSindh
