SPO successfully organized a ceremony under the SEF AALTP Program, bringing together key government representatives and community leaders. Ms. Shaheena Sher Ali, Minister for Women Development Department appreciated SPOโ€™s continuous efforts for womenโ€™s empowerment and expressed her commitment to strengthening partnerships for larger impact. She reaffirmed that womenโ€™s economic independence is a priority for the Sindh Government.
Ms. Saima Siddiqui, Assistant Director SEF, and Ms. Atiya Imtiaz, District Head SEF praised the quality of training provided at AALTP Centers and emphasized SEFโ€™s vision of expanding access to non-formal education and skill development across Sindh.
Mr. Abdul Karim Buriro, Deputy District Officer Literacy Hyderabad, shared encouraging remarks on literacy advancement and appreciated SPOโ€™s role in connecting education with livelihood opportunities.
Mr. Amjad Baloch, Regional Head SPO, highlighted SPOโ€™s commitment to empowering marginalized women through practical skills and assured continued support for sustainable livelihood initiatives. Ms. Syeda Qurat Shah, Assistant Director WDD Jamshoro, commended the women learners for their dedication and encouraged them to continue building their skills for a better future.
Together, these distinguished guests distributed certificates among Package C learners as well as adult women who completed technical courses in dressmaking, beautician skills, fancy bird farming, honey bee keeping, tunnel farming, chicken farming, and general electrician work. More than 240 learners received certificates and startup cash assistance to begin their income-generating activities.
During her address, Minister Shaheena Sher Ali also announced the Government of Sindhโ€™s upcoming E-Complex Initiative, which will help home-based women workers connect with national and international markets. She acknowledged SPOโ€™s strong field presence and announced that WDD will soon sign an MoU with SPO to strengthen skill development opportunities for women residing in Dar-ul-Aman. She further shared that the E-Complex initiative will be finalized with SPOโ€™s technical support.
The event witnessed participation from more than 200 women, celebrating progress, confidence, and the spirit of empowerment.
