๐—œ๐——๐—˜๐—”๐—Ÿ, the Institute for Design, Entrepreneurship and Leadership in collaboration with the Office of Industry Relations and Corporate Engagement at Habib University, recently hosted an intensive three-day training for the top 30 leaders of Unileverโ€™s Customer Development (CD) Team, marking a powerful collaboration between industry and academia. Rooted in design thinking and systems thinking, this leadership training enabled participants to explore innovative approaches to real-world challenges.
Participants from Unilever’s CD leadership team from across Pakistan engaged in a deeply enriching experience, reflecting on leadership strengths, ethical and empathetic decision-making, and the responsibility that comes with leading teams to whom so many people report. Through hands-on activities, they worked on carefully crafted problem statements relevant to the CD team and stepped out into the market to conduct direct, on-ground research, ensuring genuine feet-on-street insights.
This customised training, co-designed through close collaboration between IDEAL and Unileverโ€™s CD leadership, underscores the power of bridging academic expertise with industry needs. As these leaders prepare to tackle the challenges of the coming year, this initiative opens new avenues for long-term industryโ€“academia partnerships and showcases the transformative impact of design-led learning.
