The Computer Science Alumni Network (CAN) came together at LUMS on Saturday, December 20th, to celebrate the strong connections that unite our graduates, honouring a shared journey of innovation, growth, and the ever-expanding impact of our alumni community
The evening was a vibrant reflection of the year-round engagement that defines the LUMS Computer Science community. We were honoured to hear from Dr. Walther Schwarzacher, Dean Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering; Dr. Hamad Alizai, Chair, Department of Computer Science; and Yasser Bashir (BSc 1997), President CAN, on how alumni initiatives such as Coding for Careers, mock interviews, industry visits, and the Future of Work series are bridging the gap between students and the professional world.
From nostalgic reunions to high-energy trivia, the night captured everything that makes our CS alumni community truly special.
