Rubina Brohi, Chairperson, Sindh Commission on the Status of Women, Government of Sindh, graced the event “Stories of Change- Resilience and Action in Sindh” organized by the Sindh SDGs Support Unit and UNDP Pakistan in collaboration with the Planning & Development Department, Government of Sindh.
She shared her vision to strengthen the Commission’s presence across Sindh, emphasizing the Commission’s mandate to promote women’s empowerment and protection of their rights.
In her address, she highlighted the Government of Sindh’s initiatives for women’s rights, including One Stop Protection Centers, Anti-Rape Crisis Centers, and other support mechanisms for women in the province.




She emphasized the Commission’s commitment to raising awareness at the grassroots level across Sindh and promoting collective efforts to advance gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence.
She acknowledged the crucial role of international NGOs, donor organizations, and CSOs in supporting the government’s efforts and reiterated the Commission’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to accelerate progress towards a more equitable and just society.
The event concluded with an Interactive Pledge for Action and remarks by Mr. Qasim Soomro, Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to advance gender equality.
