🌟 Social & Behaviour Change (SBC) Capacity Building Workshop for Routine Immunization Concludes in Islamabad 🌟

Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) in collaboration with UNICEF successfully conducted a two-day SBC Capacity Building Workshop focused on strengthening behavioural insights, crisis communication, and digital community engagement for Routine Immunization.
Dr. Musa Khan, Director General, FDI presided over the event as the Chief Guest. While speaking at the occasion he stated that “the true value of knowledge emerges when it is transformed into action on the ground. I hope each of you will take these learnings forward and cascade them in your respective areas. Remember, advocacy never ends rather it is an ongoing and continuous process that strengthens our connection with communities. Our collective responsibility is to protect the children of this nation from 13 vaccine preventable diseases and lifelong disabilities”.
Dr. Musa Khan further added, “I am grateful to UNICEF for their support in organizing this important workshop, and I appreciate the valuable participation of Provincial and Area EPIs, as well as the Information Department. Most of all, I extend my sincere thanks to the top leadership of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination for their constant guidance and leadership to strengthening immunization in Pakistan.”
UNICEF SBC Professional Facilitators built the capacities of participants with insightful sessions on SBC fundamentals, behavioural frameworks, digital ecosystem mapping, and hands-on activities on content creation and editorial planning. The learning framework also focused on crisis communication management, social listening, scenario-based exercises, and storytelling from past campaigns including TCV Sindh 2019, TCV KP 2022, and the nationwide HPV Vaccine Campaign 2025.
The workshop concluded with group presentations, reflections, and a group photo.
