Dr. Tayyab Raza Fraz of the University of Karachi participated in the Malaysian Finance Association International Conference 2025, held on 26-27 November 2025 at Curtin University Malaysia, Miri.

The conference was organized under the leadership of Professor Vincent Lee Chieng Chen, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University Malaysia; Professor Pauline Ho, Dean, Faculty of Business; and Dr. Lynn Ling Yew Hua, Chair of MFAIC 2025.
Dr. Fraz was invited and honoured to chair the โForecasting in Financeโ session. This session was also attended by distinguished professors and researchers from different countries and universities, namely Professor Jonathan A. Batten (RMIT University), Professor Felix Chan (Curtin University Australia), Dr. Sorana Vatavu and Dr. Oana Ramona Lobonศ (WUT) Romania, as well as Dr. Tanusree Mukherjee and Dr. Shahid Latif from Curtin University Malaysia.
Dr. Fraz further showcased his research, delving into predictive modeling of stock markets utilizing deep learning paradigms, machine learning techniques, and a suite of time series forecasting models. 
Furthermore, he participated in discussions to advance academic cooperation between the University of Karachi and Curtin University, during which Curtin University conveyed a strong interest in establishing collaborative research and academic linkages.
The conference organizers also expressed their appreciation to Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, for supporting and endorsing Dr. Frazโs participation, acknowledging his commitment to promoting international academic engagement.
