Key Pagara family member Muniba Rashidi joins PPP

Muniba Shah Rashdi, daughter-in-law of Nadir Shah Rashdi and a member of the influential Pagara family circle, announced her decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Saturday. Muniba made the announcement in Karachi at the residence of PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro, who formally welcomed her into the party. PPP Karachi Division General Secretary and provincial minister Shahina Sher Ali was also present on the occasion. Khuhro said the party holds deep respect for Pir Pagara and his family, adding that Munibaโ€™s inclusion is warmly welcomed. Speaking to reporters, Muniba Shah Rashdi said she was joining the PPP because of her trust in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, and Faryal Talpur, noting that she plans to play an active role in strengthening the party. Provincial minister Shahina Sher Ali praised the decision, saying the PPP is the only political party that has consistently empowered women and ensured their representation at all levels. Muniba Shah Rashdi is the wife of Qaim Shah Rashdi and daughter-in-law of Nadir Shah Rashdi, brother of Pir Pagara, the spiritual leader of the Hur community.
