Pakistan Storms Into T20 Tri-Nation Final After Dominant Win Over Zimbabwe
In the fourth match of the T20 Tri-Nation Series, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 69 runs and secured their place in the final.
The Green Shirts have played three matches so far and won all of them, while the second finalist will be decided between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
Chasing Pakistanโs target of 196 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 126 in 19 overs.
Pakistanโs Usman Tariq claimed four wickets, including a hat-trick, while Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets.
For Zimbabwe, Ryan Burl showed some resistance, scoring an unbeaten half-century. He made 67 runs with 8 fours and 2 sixes.
Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Pakistan posted 195 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Star batter Babar Azam played a brilliant innings of 74 runs off 52 balls, hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes.
Opening batter Sahibzada Farhan scored 63 runs, registering his second consecutive half-century of the series. He faced 41 balls and struck 4 fours and 3 sixes.
Babar Azam and Sahibzada Farhan also shared a 103-run partnership for the second wicket. Other batters included Saim Ayub with 13, Faheem Ashraf with 3, and Mohammad Nawaz with 4 runs.
Captain Salman Ali Agha remained not out on 1, while Fakhar Zaman scored an unbeaten 27 off 10 balls. Sikandar Raza took two wickets for Zimbabwe.
