ZKB Engineering & SPL join forces to boost cricket in Sindh

Karachi : ZKB Engineering & Construction Company has inked a contract with the Sindh Premier League (SPL), with the top brass of both organizations assuring their continuous cooperation to promote cricket.

An event for the signing ceremony took place at a local hotel in Karachi, where Chairman of SPL, Aslam Khan, and ZKB’s Mohabbat Khan signed the contract and pledged to strengthen their partnership.

Mohabbat Khan noted that the province of Sindh is rich with youngsters who aspire to make a name for them on the international cricket stage by representing their country.

Arif Malik, the President of SPL, informed the attendees about the preparations for the first edition, which has now reached its final stages. He believes that the event will not only be successful but will also uncover talent in Sindh that has not been recognized yet.

Malik emphasized the need for sponsorship to ensure the success of the event and claimed that SPL will emerge as a revolution for cricket in Sindh.

Javed Mian Dad, veteran cricketer and Vice President of Sindh Premier League, described the upcoming edition as a step toward success and expressed his good wishes for the endeavor. He stated, “The head of the cricket board should be someone who knows cricket; whoever becomes the prime minister of Pakistan should work for the development of the country and cricket.”

Moin Khan, head coach of Mirpur Tigers, said that the Sindh Premier League will prove to be a trendsetter for the entire country. He added, “I am sure that other provinces will also follow this league; young players have a good chance to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Legendary cricketers, including Misbah-ul-Haq, head coach of Hyderabad Bahadurs, Abdul Razzaq, head coach of Larkana Lalls, cricketer Shah Nawaz Dhani, and others also spoke at the event. Test cricketers Arshad Khan, Sharjeel Khan, Nauman Ali, Danish Uzair, Jalaluddin, Director of Cricket Operations SPL Naveed Ahmed, and others were present at the ceremony.
