With support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), UNICEF has strengthened birth dose vaccination and polio prevention across Pakistan, helping newborns access lifesaving vaccines from day one. At KSrelief supported sites, 90 per cent of live births are vaccinated and enrolled in the National Electronic Immunization Registry.
During a recent donor visit, KSrelief saw these efforts in action, including birth dose vaccination services, Kangaroo Mother Care and immunization systems that support mothers and newborns in accessing essential health care.
