Rain and Snowfall Expected in Northern Areas, Fog to Persist in Plains

Rain at intervals and snowfall over the mountains is expected on Monday in Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas. Weather in the rest of the country is likely to remain cold and dry. Dense fog is expected to persist in most plain areas of Punjab and districts of upper Sindh.

On Tuesday, cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country. However, moderate to dense fog is expected to continue in the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh districts, which may affect visibility during morning and night hours.

Recorded minimum temperatures today:
Leh and Gupis recorded -3°C,
Qalat recorded -1°C,
while Skardu, Quetta, Parachinar, and Malam Jabba recorded 0°C.

The public is advised to take precautionary measures during foggy conditions and cold weather, especially while traveling.
