Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has highlighted the importance of strengthening Pakistan’s “moral economy” through corporate philanthropy at the launch of the Corporate Philanthropy Report 2024 by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) in Islamabad.
He praised Pakistan’s global standing as a generously giving nation and lauded Karachi’s leadership in corporate giving. The Minister commended the resilience of CSR contributions despite economic challenges, urging greater transparency in corporate philanthropy.
Senator Aurangzeb appreciated PCP’s role in institutionalizing philanthropy and emphasized the government’s shift toward results-based Social Impact Financing, announcing the upcoming launch of Pakistan’s first Skills Impact Bond, developed with the British Asian Trust and NAVTTC.
He congratulated all award recipients and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering a strong, transparent, and impactful culture of giving in Pakistan.
