An Orientation Workshop on the Gender-Inclusive Checklist for Textbook Development

Jamshoro, 19 November 2025 — The School Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, in collaboration with JICA, organized an Orientation Workshop on the Gender-Inclusive Checklist for Textbook Development and Review at the Sindh Textbook Board (STBB), Jamshoro.
The workshop was chaired by Dr. Fouzia Khan (Chief Executive Advisor, Curriculum Wing), Mr. Pervaiz Ahmed Baloch (Chairman, STBB), and Mr. Noor Ahmad Khoso (Director, DCAR). Commissioner Hyderabad, Mr. Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, graced the event as Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts to make textbooks more engaging, inclusive, and student-friendly.
Participants from STBB, DCAR, STEDA, and PITE engaged in interactive exercises, group work, and discussions to explore practical ways to apply the Checklist and enhance quality, equity, and gender inclusivity in learning materials.
