Under the visionary leadership of Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, to empower students through practical engagement, Department of Management Sciences & Technologies successfully executed an Inclusive Sports Festival for Differently Abled Children and the Ralli Marketing Initiative Project, assigned through the UNODC Youth Leadership for Community Development Program (YLCDP). Both projects were fully funded by our Vice-Chancellor, who, being deeply committed to community development, promptly provided full financial support to ensure their success.
The program was expertly mentored by Dr. Naveeda Sangi (Asst Prof DMST, Mentor UNODC-YLCDP), whose three-month intensive mentorship marked by tireless efforts, unwavering dedication, meticulous planning, hands-on guidance, and collaboration with DEPD schools and local NGO WDO was the driving force behind the initiatives. The expert oversight of Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi (Chairperson, DMST) also played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth implementation.
YLCDP Team Phoenix students Asmat Sultana, Farhana, Ume Atiya, Adeela, and Jaweria from BNBWU, along with Rida Shaikh from Sukkur IBA worked tirelessly, dedicating themselves to planning and executing every aspect of the projects.
The sports festival featured Tug of War, Sack Race, Ludo, Carrom, and Table Tennis, culminating in a closing ceremony attended by distinguished guests: Prof. Syed Hussain Hyder Shah (Senior Legal Advisor, UNODC Pakistan), Mr. Abdul Qudoos Memon (Regional Director, DEPD Sukkur), Mr. Asfandyar Mangi (Deputy Director, DEPD School), Mr. Noor Muhammad Somroo (Vice Principal, Centre for Vic, Sukkur), Zafar Iqbal (EDC SIBA), Umar Farooq and Hamza Sajjad (UNODC Representative).
Shields and souvenirs for distinguished guests were presented by Deputy Registrar Abdul Salam Chandio on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, while winners received shields and medals. The YLCDP National Team visited the Ralli Marketing Stall, appreciating the dedication and creativity of Team Phoenix.
Special appreciation to Mr. Riaz Hussain (CEO, WDO) and Ms. Zoya (Manager, WDO) for collaborating with Team Phoenix on the Ralli Marketing Initiative, and to Mr. Asfandyar Mangi for his unwavering support for the Inclusive Sports Festival.
This initiative reflects BNBWUโ€™s commitment to inclusive community development, student leadership, and collaborative excellence, under the visionary guidance of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj.
