West Indies best UAE in 1st one day Match in Sharjah

SHARJAH: West Indies beat United Arab Emirates in 1st one day international match by 7 wickets with superb 112 runs of Brandon king, Match was played here in Sharjah international cricket ground. UAE have won the toss and opted to bat first, team UAE all out in 47.1 overs on total score 202. Debutant Ali Naseer from UAE side scored 58 in 52 balls, Opner Arvind made 40, Asif Khan 27

and Rameez Shahzad scored 16 runs. Keemo took 3 wickets from West Indies side, and Drakes, Odean and Cariah got 2 wickets each. Chasing the target West Indies lost their 3 wickets in 35.2 overs and secured 206 runs. King played entertaining nock and scored 112 with 100 per cent strike rate, meanwhile other batters Shamarh 44, Charles 24 and captain Hope 13 runs were addition in comfortable victory. Both teams will be taking part in the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers and the series is a chance for them to get their combinations right. The Caribbean team, led by Shai Hope, however, don’t have many of their key players.
