Developed \u2060in partnership with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive, the \u200bgame is designed as an accessible football simulation, allowing \u200bplayers to take part in the tournament experience.<\/p>\n
Players will be able to choose from all 48 teams competing in the World Cup and \u200bplay matches across the tournament’s 16 stadiums, with more \u200bthan 1,200 players included in the game.<\/p>\n
The format uses smartphones as \u200ccontrollers, \u2060enabling users to connect to a television by scanning a QR code, according to FIFA.<\/p>\n
Up to four users can play together.<\/p>\n
FIFA said the launch forms part of a broader \u200bshift in its \u200bapproach to \u2060gaming following the end of its long-running partnership with EA Sports, moving instead to \u200ba multi-partner ecosystem aimed at expanding its reach \u200bacross \u2060platforms and audiences.<\/p>\n
The governing body described the game as the starting point of a longer-term project, with additional features and \u2060broader \u200bplatform support planned beyond the initial \u200brelease.<\/p>\n
