Karachi (Staff Reporter) Famous film star Asif Khan, who has shown the essence of his brilliant acting in hundreds of Urdu, Pashto and Punjabi films in Pakistan, has said that Maryam Nawaz should not ignore Pakhtun artists. The Punjab government has given a lot of money to the people of Punjab besides Sindh and Balochistan to make films, but Pakhtun artists and talented people have been ignored and they have not been given any money to make films, which is very sad. Film star Asif Khan said that I have given 55 years of my life to the film industry while living in Punjab and I have also made my own films and invested my money in the dinner given in my honor at the residence of film star Mustafa Qureshi on the occasion of his arrival in Karachi. Talking to a delegation of film and TV journalists, Asif Khan said that if you spend more than five years in a country like America, you get a green card, but in our country, even if you spend more than fifty years in the film industry of Lahore, we don’t get it. Film star Mustafa Qureshi said that Asif Khan is a valuable and proud artist of Pakistan’s film industry. It is a pity that the government ignores him because our industry is not Punjab but Pakistan’s film industry. When the Punjab government has given money to the people of Sindh to make a film, it should also be given to the artists and talented people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
