The delegation included Ms. Zarka Khan, Project Coordinator for Women\u2019s Empowerment, and Ms. Saman Ahsan, Portfolio Manager \u2013 Ending Violence Against Women, Governance & Human Rights.
\nThe meeting focused on enhancing institutional coordination, strategic collaboration, and consultative engagement to address critical issues affecting women and girls, including harassment, child abuse, forced marriages, and gender-based violence. Discussions also emphasized the importance of improving support mechanisms, strengthening women protection centres, and ensuring effective implementation of pro women policies and initiatives across the province.
\nBoth sides highlighted the significance of coordinated efforts among government institutions, development partners, and relevant stakeholders to promote women\u2019s rights, strengthen institutional response systems, and improve data availability regarding gender based violence.
\nThe meeting also included discussions on the upcoming Provincial Consultation on the National Policy on Ending Violence Against Women, organized by the Ministry of Human Rights in collaboration with UN Women, aimed at strengthening collective efforts for safeguarding women\u2019s rights through effective policy frameworks and institutional support.
