While most countries around the world have successfully eliminated polio, Pakistan remains one of the last few countries where the virus still exists. The Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme (PPEP) represents a nationwide effort to eliminate polio once and for all and ensure a healthier future for every child in the country.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme was launched with the goal of interrupting the transmission of the poliovirus through widespread immunization, effective surveillance, and community engagement. It is a collaborative initiative led by the Government of Pakistan and supported by international partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Rotary International, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Together, these organizations provide technical expertise, funding, vaccines, and logistical support to reach millions of children across the country.<\/p>\n
