Pakistani Community Reaffirms Solidarity with the Just Struggle of the People of Kashmir
The Embassy of Pakistan hosted an event to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day to express support with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), and to highlight the egregious human rights violations being committed by India in IIOJK.

During the event, Ambassador Aftab Ahmad Khokher read the messages from the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on the occasion, reaffirming Pakistan’s continued diplomatic, moral and political support to the just struggle of the people of Kashmir. He highlighted that, every year, on this day, Pakistan marks the Kashmir Solidarity Day which provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the unparalleled commitment of the Kashmiris for the attainment of the legitimate right to self-determination.
He further stated that our collective efforts must continue to galvanise support of the international community and to utilise all available platforms effectively to demand an end to India’s gross and widespread human rights violations in IIOJK. He called for UN supervised investigations into the extrajudicial killings to ensure the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Prominent community members and representatives of the Kashmiri diaspora in Austria and Slovakia also participated in the event. Ladies from the Pakistani community especially participated in the event to express their solidarity with the people of Kashmir. They were unanimous in their views that the international community must come together to raise its voice against the reign of terror and suppression and the gross and widespread violations of human rights and international humanitarian law due to the illegal and forcible occupation of IIOJK by India. They all prayed for the brutal occupation of IIOJK to end and for the realisation of the right of self determination for all Kashmiris
