Chief Secretary Sindh Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput said that Sindh government was encouraging local and foreign investment in the energy sector through public-private partnership. He said this during a meeting with Holger Ziegeler, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi at Sindh Secretariat on Thursday. The issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput invited German public and private investment companies to come forward and take advantage of investment opportunities in Sindh’s energy sector and Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
On the occasion, German Consul General Holger Ziegler said that the friendly relations between Pakistan and Germany reflect mutual unity and cooperation in political and social development. The German Consul General further said that the investment of German companies in Sindh would further boost the economy here and in this regard the German Consulate in Pakistan is also working exclusively.
Later, Chief Secretary Sindh Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput presented a Shield, Sindhi Topi (cap) and Ajrak (traditional Sindhi Shawl) to German Consul General Holger Ziegeler and agreed to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
