Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has congratulated the newly elected President of Punjab Union of Journalist Shahzad Hussain Butt, General Secretary Shahid Ch. and other officer bearers and expressed well wishes for them. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the newly elected leadership of PUJ will continue to play its role for resolving the problems of the journalists’ fraternity and will come up to their expectations as well. Usman Buzdar said that PUJ has always raised its voice for the rights of journalists.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the check post of Datta Khail North Waziristan. The Chief Minister paid homage to the great sacrifice of two security personals who embraced shahadat in the attack adding that we salute the sacrifices of brave sons of the soil. Usman Buzdar extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family members of martyrs and said that Shaheed Lanc Naik Arif and Naik Rahman got the higher rank of martyrdom. He said that nation will never forget the sacrifices of martyrs and warned that a handful of assailants cannot shaken the sheer determination of the nation.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of a citizen, as stray kite string slit his throat in the limits of Shalimar Link Road. Usman Buzdar while taking notice of this incident has sought a report from CCPO Lahore and directed to strictly enforce the ban on kite flying besides ensuring legal action against the violators. He further directed to adopt zero-tolerance policy in this regard adding that concerned area police officers will be held accountable where the incident of kite flying will take place. The Chief Minister extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family of the deceased.

LAHORE, Nov. 28:

A delegation led by Vice-Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Makhdoom Tariq Mahmood-ul-Hassan called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at CM’s Office. The Chief Minister said that the PTI government by awarding the rights of vote to expatriates, has acknowledged their long-standing demand. He said that previous governments ignored this issue and befooled Pakistanis living abroad with hollow slogans. He further stated that opposition parties, by opposing the right of vote to overseas Pakistanis, have shown their double standards. First time in the history of the country PTI government, under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, has taken practical measures to resolve the problems of overseas Pakistanis besides giving back their right to vote. He termed overseas Pakistanis as ambassadors of Pakistan and said that their role in strengthening the national economy cannot be overlooked. A comprehensive policy has been formulated to resolve the problems of overseas Pakistanis, said Usman Buzdar and Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab has been made a vibrant organization.

The members of the delegation, while talking to the Chief Minister, said that overseas Pakistanis considered the PTI government as their own. They thanked him for taking personal interest and concrete measures for redressing the problems of overseas Pakistanis. The delegation of included Syed Qamar Raza, Rana Abdul Sattar, Imran Khalil, Umar Ishaq and Imtiaz Ahmed.
